A really simple and easy salmon recipe. When searing meats and fish I like to use a cast iron skillet. Not only does it add a lot of flavor but it’s a clean toxin free way to cook. As always keep your kitchen exhaust going to eliminate fumes and built up condensation.
Pan Seared Salmon
Ingredients
- 1 salmon filet
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp kerrygold unsalted butter
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Season salmon with salt and pepper
- Heat oil in pan on medium high heat
- Add butter to pan
- Cook the salmon without moving skin side up for about 4 minutes or until crisp
- Flip the filet and reduce heat to medium
- Continue cooking until your liking about 4 to 5 minutes
- You can add more butter if it starts drying
