Pan Seared Pork Chop

When pan searing meats I like to use a cast iron skillet. Not only does it add a lot of flavor but it’s a clean toxin free way to cook. As always keep your kitchen exhaust going to eliminate fumes and built up condensation.

Pan Seared Pork Chops

Course Main Course


  • 1 pork chop
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp kerrygold unsalted butter
  • salt
  • pepper
  • onion powder


  • Pat pork chop dry with paper towel
  • Heat pan to medium high heat
  • Add olive oil and butter
  • Sear one side without moving until it's golden brown for about 3-5 minutes
  • Flip and sear other side until it too is golden brown
  • Remove from pan and let rest before serving
