These are a great summer staple for the grill! Don’t forget to serve with a side of our lemon garlic tahini sauce.
Middle Eastern Style Chicken Kabobs
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain whole milk greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 lemon zest
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1-3 lb chicken thighs
- 1/2 red onion
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Make the marinade. In a bowl combine yogurt, olive oil, paprika, cumin, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic
- Thread chicken onto skewers alternating chicken and red onion pieces
- Brush marinade over the meat skewers
- Cover and refrigerate (overnight is best)
- Preheat grill to medium high heat
- Grill kabobs until chicken is golden brown turning skewers occasionally
- Serve with lemon garlic tahini on side
